These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ScienceIQ ("the Service"), operated by Artemis Technology ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

ScienceIQ offers a free tier with limited features and paid subscription plans (Starter, Pro) with enhanced capabilities. Plan details, pricing, and feature limits are displayed on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method at the beginning of each billing cycle. All prices are displayed in your local currency where supported, or in EUR/USD.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods. Refund requests for exceptional circumstances may be submitted to our support team and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
We may adjust subscription prices with at least 30 days' advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect on their next billing cycle.
Each subscription tier includes monthly usage limits for various features (e.g., paper analyses, quizzes, presentations). Usage limits reset at the beginning of each calendar month.
Additional credits may be available for purchase. Purchased credits are non-refundable and are consumed when you use features that exceed your plan's monthly allowance. We reserve the right to modify credit pricing and consumption rates with reasonable notice.

The Service, including its design, code, logos, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Artemis Technology and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.
"ScienceIQ" and associated logos are trademarks of Artemis Technology. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
You retain ownership of all documents, papers, and other content you upload to the Service ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload and process any content you submit. We are not liable for copyright infringement or other intellectual property violations arising from User Content.
We do not use your User Content to train AI models. Your documents are processed by third-party AI providers (OpenAI) solely to generate responses and study materials for your personal use, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
ScienceIQ uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, quizzes, flashcards, mind maps, translations, essay drafts, and other study materials. You acknowledge and agree that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Artemis Technology and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to:
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature (where available). Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if:
Termination does not relieve you of any obligation to pay outstanding fees. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) shall continue to apply.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Budapest, Hungary.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes affecting your rights, we will provide at least 14 days' notice before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
